DuPont Fabros Technology Receives Open-IX Certification For Its NJ1 Data Center

WASHINGTON, May 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- DuPont Fabros Technology, Inc. (NYSE: DFT) announced today that it has received the Open-IX OIX-2 certification and that AMS-IX New York is now operational at DFT's NJ1 data center located in Piscataway, New Jersey.

AMS-IX New York is a neutral and distributed Internet Exchange Point ("IXP") that was officially launched in New York City by the Mayor of Amsterdam on April 11, 2014. AMS-IX New York was awarded OIX-1 certification by the Open-IX Association earlier this year and its presence will enable DFT's NJ1 customers in Piscataway, New Jersey to access the peering platform.

The Open-IX Association was set up in September 2013 as a neutral, non-profit industry association formed to promote better standards for data center interconnection and Internet exchanges in North America.

AMS-IX New York's core and edge switches are located at DFT's NJ1 data center, which is diversely connected via dark fiber to other AMS-IX New York points of presence. AMS-IX New York's Internet Exchange node at NJ1 has the capability of providing ports to customers with speeds ranging from 1 to 100 Gigabits per second ("Gbps"). Lower port capacities are available through resellers.
