NEW BEDFORD, Mass., Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- (http://www.myprgenie.com) -- Dussault and Zatir law firm's client was a minor involved in a motor vehicle accident. The client's mother was the operator of the motor vehicle in which the client occupied as a passenger. Their vehicle was stopped at a stop sign when it was struck on the rear bumper by another vehicle. The vehicle in which Dussault and Zatir's client occupied was a total loss. The client was transported by ambulance to a local emergency room for neck, back and shoulder injuries.
Over the four months following the accident, Dussault and Zatir's client had one (1) visit with a local neurologist and consistently sought chiropractic care. Upon discharge from the chiropractor the client was back to pre-accident status. At the time of this accident the client was a high school senior and was able to continue schooling and graduated on time. Dussault and Zatir's client is doing well at this time and intends to enter the military without any residual complaints from the car accident.
The insurer initially offered $5500.00 to resolve this case, however, after intense negotiations the at-fault insurance company agreed to resolve the claim for $14,200.00. Considering the facts of this accident and the injuries the offer was accepted and the case settled out of court.
