Eastern Michigan University Credit Union Cross Street Branch Welcomes Students and Community as Fall Semester Begins

Ypsilanti location puts financial services and education steps from the EMU campus

YPSILANTI, Mich., Sept. 17, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Eastern Michigan University Credit Union (EMUCU), a division of the University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU), opened a full-service branch this summer at 611 W. Cross Street just across from the EMU campus in downtown Ypsilanti. As the fall semester gets underway, the branch is serving students, faculty, staff and Ypsilanti residents.

EMUCU has a long history in Ypsilanti, and the Cross Street branch represents the credit union's commitment to the Ypsilanti community, putting a dedicated location steps from campus and in the center of the neighborhood. Members can visit in person or use the branch's interactive video teller machines (ITM) to connect face-to-face with an EMUCU team member on screen.
