MESA, Ariz., Jan. 13, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- According to new reports released by real estate industry analysts RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting, Eastmark in Mesa, Ariz. ranks #7 and #8 among top selling, master-planned communities in the nation for 2015. The fast-growing community, which focuses on embracing innovations in technology, education, business, lifestyle and connected healthy living, more than doubled its 2014 sales.
Eastmark, by developer DMB was the top selling master planned community in Arizona and the only one from the state to break the top 10 in the national rankings.
"DMB has done an excellent job creating a cohesive master-planned community that offers extensive amenities, including the Eastmark Great Park, an events pavilion…along with a variety of great housing options in a strong southeast Valley location," said Kenneth Perlman, principal of John Burns Real Estate Consulting. "Great access to downtown and regional employment concentrations and some of the (Phoenix) metro area's best schools are all complementary elements in helping to make Eastmark one of the best-selling master plans in not only Phoenix, but in the country."
The nearly five-square-mile community opened in 2013 and has more than 2,000 residents. Located in a tech corridor with technology, aviation, healthcare and education as the region's growing employment sectors, Eastmark representatives work alongside Southeast Valley leaders to draw high-profile employers to the area. DMB was instrumental in helping attract Apple to the community in 2015.
"Part of what makes Eastmark so attractive to homebuyers is that our decisions regarding how this community grows and lives are driven by embracing what's next in technology, education, lifestyle, sustainability, and healthy, connected living," said Dea McDonald, senior vice president and Eastmark general manager. "Community building through the innovation lens has resulted in the creation of an active community life with year-round events, being home to A-rated schools, more than 25 neighborhood parks that are connecting neighbors…the list goes on. "
Ten local and national homebuilders are selling in Eastmark's second phase. AV Homes debuted an active adult neighborhood in 2015, and Meritage Homes opened Eastmark's first gated neighborhood in the fall. A new community pool and recreation center will open in 2016.
