Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Bond and Option Strategies Fund Report of Earnings

BOSTON, Sept. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Eaton Vance Tax-Advantaged Bond and Option Strategies Fund (NYSE: EXD) (the "Fund"), a diversified closed-end management investment company, today announced the earnings of the Fund for the three and six-month periods ended June 30, 2011.  The Fund's fiscal year ends on December 31, 2011.

For the three months ended June 30, 2011, the Fund had net investment income of $133,466 ($0.012 per common share).  For the six months ended June 30, 2011, the Fund had net investment income of $361,369 ($0.034 per common share).

Net realized and unrealized gains for the three months ended June 30, 2011 were $11,868,414 ($1.122 per common share) and net realized and unrealized gains for the six months ended June 30, 2011 were $15,606,172 ($1.476 per common share).

On June 30, 2011, net assets of the Fund were $195,846,708.  The net asset value per common share on June 30, 2011 was $18.55 based on 10,556,552 common shares outstanding.
