ECBC and Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire Join Forces to Grant Wishes
Southern Calif.-Based Brands Partner to Make Dreams Come True in Local Community
MURRIETA, Calif., April 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- With summer around the corner, families will soon embark on vacations all across the world. To help make these trips as meaningful as possible, ECBC, a leader in the lifestyle-travel category that designs sleek and sophisticated luggage, bags and backpacks for the modern traveler, today announced a partnership with Make-A-Wish® Orange County and the Inland Empire. The collaboration will help grant the travel wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions living in Orange, San Bernardino and Riverside, Calif.
From now through September, anyone who gives at least 1,000 frequent flier miles to Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire's Wishes in Flight® program, which uses donated airline miles to pay for plane tickets for wish kids to travel to any destination of their choice, will receive an ECBC product. Based in Temecula, Calif., ECBC has provided a variety of functional and fashionable items—such as iPad sleeves, messenger bags, backpacks and luggage—to reward consumers for their participation in this worthwhile cause. The tiered campaign allows donors to choose a travel accessory based on the amount of miles they contribute and will ultimately help grow the Make-A-Wish Wishes in Flight program while encouraging more local involvement.
"We truly believe in the work Make-A-Wish does, so it was without hesitation that we joined forces with this chapter to further increase the number of travel wishes granted," said Jean-Luc Annet, co-founder of ECBC. "It has always been a priority for ECBC to stay involved in the community our company calls home, and we're excited to help contribute to its expansion and success with this partnership."
In addition to providing life-changing travel experiences, Make-A-Wish is dedicated to ensuring wish kids have everything they need to travel to their dream destinations and beyond. To further support this initiative, ECBC is donating its Thor Laptop Backpack to teenagers who take a trip through Wishes in Flight.
"Through our partnership with ECBC, we'll have the opportunity to grant more wishes for children in the local community, and we couldn't be more thrilled," said Stephanie McCormick, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish Orange County and the Inland Empire. "We're always looking for opportunities to grow, and we look forward to working together to make our travel wishes program bigger and better."
