ECOB Announces Formal Representation with Dr. Dorothy M. Leveque
VISTA, Calif., Aug. 22, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc., (OTCBB: ECOB) announced today the company has executed a memorandum of understanding with Dr. Dorothy M. Leveque to represent ECOB products in Ghana, Tanzania and South Africa. Under the terms, Dr. Dorothy M. Leveque will provide a satellite office location to establish relationships in Africa to provide local housing requirements at competitive pricing. In addition, Dorothy will assist with local intelligence gathering for suitable building designs and local requirements. ECOB has recognized that the housing demands in the world are significantly larger than the U.S. current demand. The company's charter is to bring our technically advanced building materials to countries that never considered lumber products as a viable building resource. Our Red Shield™ technology overcomes all of the issues that keep lumber from being a utilized resource for housing demand. Additionally, ECOB has developed a process to prefabricate American style houses. Approximately 80% of the housing designs are assembled in the USA prior to being deployed into other countries stimulating local and international commerce.
"I am very excited to be associated with Eco Building Products because they have great products; but also, Steve Conboy has a heart, not only for profit, but also for humanitarian needs. I love what they are doing and see an enormous opportunity for the African Nations to take advantage of ECOB's products and services. The housing demands are so vast in this part of the world that the local building practices could never keep up," stated Dr. Dorothy M. Leveque, Ed.D., Member of the Board of Directors/President/CEO of Pathways/Africa.
"Our relationship with Dr. Dorothy M. Leveque is another step towards deployment of Red Shield lumber prefabricated housing throughout the world," stated Steve Conboy, President and CEO, Eco Building Products. "Dorothy is a wonderful individual that I am proud to be associated with. She will donate all of her proceeds to Pathways/Africa to aid locals in various African nations. Dorothy's efforts can also create sustainability in funding projects in Tanzania," added Conboy.
