Eco Building Products Plan Creating Primary Demand From East Coast To West Coast Is Working
Interstate + Lake land Lumber Receiving Orders Weekly - EC OB Receiving Orders for Eco Red Shield Lumber from Job Specifications
VISTA, Calif., Sept. 17, 2012 /PR Newswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc., (OTC BB: EC OB) announced today the Company has been awarded the lumber contract to build a beach front condominium complex located in the coastal community of Oceanside, California. This two story project consisting of 8 units, incorporating Eco Red Shield TM protection as specified on the plans has been awarded to the Company by Prentice Construction, Inc. and is scheduled to ship this month.
In addition the Company has been awarded the lumber and truss supply contract for the construction of the Catholic Charities' Homeless Men's Shelter, located in Carlsbad, California. GW Construction has been awarded the framing labor contract, incorporating Eco Red Shield protection as specified on the plans into three new buildings, totaling 13,800 sq. ft., and serving up to 100 homeless men and farm workers. The General Contractor selected for this project is RSM2 Contractors, Inc.
"It has been an exciting summer at Interstate + Lakeland Lumber with the launch of our Eco Red Shield marketing efforts. The combination of Eco Building Product certificates representing GREENGUARD children and schools, ICC-ESR report for wood rot decay and termites, and most recently QAI listing for Class "A" fire, one hour rating for solid sawn lumber, has provided us with the necessary tools to show our builders, as well as their customers why Eco Red Shield lumber is a wise choice for the framing of their homes. We have just finished supplying the last of the four homes in the Westchester County, New York market, as well as the Fairfield County, Connecticut market. These four houses have started to really create some brand awareness in the marketplace," stated Interstate + Lakeland Lumber President Sheldon Kahan.
"The reaction has been so overwhelming that we have commitments from Murphy Brothers Contracting for a 7000 sq. ft. custom home in Scarsdale New York, Bradford Estates has begun the land clearing for a 5000 sq. ft. custom home in Darien, Connecticut, Dibico Contracting has broken ground for a 6000 sq. ft. custom home in Greenwich, Connecticut, and we are in the final stages of presentations to a client of C+D Marchese for a 5000 sq. ft. custom home in Scarsdale, New York. All of the committed projects will begin taking lumber by the end of September and into the beginning of October. In an effort to prepare for this and keep up with the anticipated demand, we will begin to coat some of our inventory with Eco Red Shield so that there will be no interruptions in the supply chain to the job sites. We are looking forward to the next phase of the houses we are supplying with Eco Red Shield. These projects, as well as a few more that we are in serious discussions about, will take us through the balance of this year. With such an overwhelming positive response we plan on a very aggressive marketing and educational program during the first quarter of 2013 followed by a very robust demand for the Eco Red Shield framing packages to kick off the Spring 2013 building season," stated Interstate + Lakeland Lumber President Sheldon Kahan.
"Our plan to create primary demand over all fly over states is working – with Eco in the West and Interstate + Lakeland Lumber in the East; this product provides homeowners with protection from those inconvenient truths growing behind their walls that builders won't talk about. Currently, we are fielding calls from the supply chain; people want to know about this product, and lumber buyers want to know how to get it. Most companies, Wall Street included, want us to push into orders before setting up the proper foundation to support big business, I am pleased to say that our plan to get, certifications, operations and quality control up and running was the best thing we could have done before getting involved with a massive rollout," stated Eco Building Products President and CEO Steve Conboy.
