Eco Building Products Receives Order to Supply Red Shield Concentrates for Application in Korea

VISTA, Calif., Sept. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Eco Building Products, Inc. (OTCBB: ECOB) announced today the company has received an order for Red Shield™ concentrates for immediate shipment to Hana Corporation of South Korea. Hana Corporation, Cyberwood Ltd division, has ordered enough Red Shield concentrates to process approximately 820,000 board feet of lumber. Cyberwood Ltd is planning to treat panel and dimensional lumber as well as wood flooring substrates for distribution into the South Korean market.  

Korea depends on timber imports from Indonesia, Malaysia, the US, New Zealand, Chile and other countries to supply its domestic market and industries. Until now, because Korea has depended on imports for timber, most raw forest products, such as logs, lumber, plywood, and bamboo, are imported and manufactured into secondary products such as plywood, hardboard, particle board, medium density fiberboard, paper, and pulp. Most of these primary products are also consumed by the domestic market, and will continue to be until the local forest is in better condition. Cyberwood has indicated that all aspects of Red Shield lumber protection are desired in the local markets.
