ECOR® As Art

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ECOR® Global, a subsidiary of Noble Environmental Technologies Corporation (NET) has featured its HoneyCor™ product in Vincent Lamouroux's art installation in the LOST (in LA) major art exhibition of International Contemporary and Modern Art.  The exhibit is being held at the Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery at Barnsdall Art Park, 4800 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles.  The show runs from December 1, 2012 through January 27, 2013.  Hours are Thursday through Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Admission is free.  HoneyCOR™ is 100 percent USDA Certified bio-based and made with 100 percent cellulose fibers including post consumer paper, forest wood and agricultural raw material sources.  ECOR® contains no toxic additives or adhesives.

"This art exhibition was inspired by the hit television series "LOST" and like the show ECOR® bridges the gap between past, present and future," Robert Noble, Founder and CEO.  "Although ECOR® does not reside in a fictional universe, sometimes it acts as a supernatural phenomenon."

Artist Vincent Lamouroux and architect Francois Perrin collaborated with NET to use sustainable products in their art.  "When Francois and I discovered ECOR® we knew that if we created our vision out of a green material we could also represent the futuristic element of the show," said Lamouroux.  "The result was a dramatic and completely sustainable piece of art."

Furthermore, Lamouroux and Perrin found the material to be structurally strong and sound which was critical to their piece.  The art, pictured above, was interwoven and suspended.  A less tolerant material would not have been able to withstand the installation.  "We worked through a number of different challenges with fabrication requirements and a complicated installation to realize Vincent's design vision," said Jim Torti, Ph.D., President and COO.  "The result was tremendous."
