Ed Young And Fellowship Church Welcomes Chris Kyle, Author Of American Sniper For 4th Of July
Ed Young's Fellowship Church is hosting a giant 4th of July event this Independence Day weekend. As part of this family-friendly event, Ed Young will be interviewing Chris Kyle, decorated military hero and author of The New York Times Best Selling Book American Sniper.
DALLAS, June 27, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Food, Fun, and Fireworks are all part of this community event on June 30. Fellowship Pastor Ed Young says, "As a nation, we enjoy some of the most amazing freedoms and opportunities. Those opportunities and that freedom have been paid for by so many men and women. This weekend, we're welcoming one of the greatest American military heroes to share his experience. And we're going to see from a unique perspective what that freedom means and the responsibilities we have as a result."
The evening begins with a very special start to this weekend celebration: an interview with military hero Chief Chris Kyle. Pastor Ed Young has drawn crowds in the past with huge events surrounding interviews with celebrities such as Bethany Hamilton and most recently hip-hop mogul Rev Run, but this conversation with Kyle might be the most interesting so far.
Kyle is a former United States Navy SEAL and the deadliest sniper in United States military history. Most recently, Kyle has written The New York Times best-selling book, American Sniper, which is an autobiographical account of his time in the military.
After the interview with Ed Young and Chris Kyle, the event continues outside with food and festivities for the entire family. Food will be available from local vendors and food trucks, and bounce houses for the kids to play in. After dusk, fireworks will be shot off over the lake behind the church.
The celebration will begin at 6:00pm on Saturday, June 30, with the fireworks show starting at 9:00pm. There is no charge for the event; food and drinks will be available for purchase. Chief Chris Kyle will be joining the Fellowship Church Pastor Ed Young at all weekend services.
