Eddie Dominguez Joins City National Bank as Senior Vice President, Director of Marketing and Communications

MIAMI, Oct. 27, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- City National Bank of Florida (CNB) has named Eddie Dominguez Senior Vice President and Director of Marketing, Communications and Community Relations. A longtime media executive and journalist, Mr. Dominguez brings more than 18 years of communication and media expertise to CNB.

Mr. Dominguez served as Executive Editor of the Daily Business Review in Miami since 2001, where he managed the publication's editorial operations in digital and print, including reporters, editors and photographers. He also oversaw the redesign of the venerable publication targeting lawyers, real estate professionals and bankers and the subsequent re-launch of its website, dailybusinessreview.com.

Mr. Dominguez helped launch several new products and signature events at the Daily Business Review, including Most Effective Lawyers and Top Dealmakers, two substantive recognition events with companion special sections. Both are recognized among the most prestigious business recognition events in South Florida.

Previously, Mr. Dominguez was Editor in Chief at Miami Business magazine and Executive Editor of Latin CEO magazine, two titles he helped conceive and launch. Under his leadership, Miami Business was repeatedly named "Best Written" by the Florida Magazine Association. He also worked as a reporter and editor for the Associated Press where he covered major national and international news stories.

Mr. Dominguez earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Miami. He also attended Miami-Dade College and is a member of that institution's Alumni Hall of Fame. The Cuban American Bar Association honored him with its Public Service Award for work to inform voters about judicial elections. He also received History Miami/11th Judicial Circuit Historical Society's Chairman's Award for work to improve awareness in South Florida of the rich history of the local courts and legal system.
