SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 16, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Edgcomb Law Group, LLP (ELG) is pleased to announce the promotion of Ladd Cahoon to partner. Mr. Cahoon, who was formerly Senior Counsel with ELG, is based in San Francisco and focuses his practice on environmentally impaired property transactions.

Mr. Cahoon represents clients in a range of matters involving environmental due diligence and impaired property transactions, brownfields property redevelopment, environmental insurance procurement, administrative agency proceedings, and hazardous waste site remediation by property owners and other responsible parties. He also represents and advises clients in connection with USTs, storm water, wetlands, land use, CEQA, and mining issues.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Cahoon conducted water quality enforcement at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and engaged in water quality and wetlands legislative policy and lobbying for the National Wildlife Federation in Washington, D.C. He also worked at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory as an earth sciences laboratory technician.
Mr. Cahoon is on the Executive Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the Bar Association of San Francisco. He is also a member of the State Bar of California's Environmental Law Section and the American Bar Association's Section of Environment Energy and Resources.
Mr. Cahoon earned a B.A. in Environmental Sciences from University of California at Berkeley and a J.D. from Georgetown University, where he was the Executive Editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review.
