Edible San Diego Teaming Up With Lick the Plate on KBZT-FM, KSON-FM, and KXSN-FM to Bring the Popular Culinary Show to its Print and Digital Publications
The foodie publication will feature an interview similar to the current broadcast format that will enable readers to get to know the guest chef's background, influences, tastes in music, where they eat around town plus their current culinary endeavors.
SAN DIEGO, April 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Edible San Diego and Lick the Plate have joined forces to add a new dimension to the San Diego culinary print and digital publication. The July issue will mark the launch of the collaboration and feature Executive Chef Teri McIllwain from Chandler's at Cape Rey Carlsbad, a Hilton Resort. Chef Teri exemplifies the farm to table, locally sourced mantra of Edible San Diego and was a perfect fit for a first column having been a guest on Lick the Plate.
Edible San Diego Publisher Katie Stokes took over the publication in November 2016 and had been looking to source contributors with unique and creative San Diego centric culinary media personalities who could bring a fresh new feel and interesting content to the print and digital versions of the publication. David Boylan, host of Lick the Plate fit that description perfectly. "When I had a chance to listen to the Lick the Plate format and hear how David gets his guests to open up and tell their stories I knew immediately it would be a good fit for Edible San Diego and the direction we are headed," said publisher Katie Stokes. She added, "Lick the Plate really lets the personality of the guest shine and allows readers to get to know not only their culinary influences, but also what music moves them and where they eat around town. These are all elements that make up who these folks are, and our readers will love it."
Lick the Plate host David Boylan added, "Edible San Diego is such a beautiful publication and proof that when print is done right, it is a medium that will be around for a while. Edible San Diego's digital components add a multi-platform aspect to the company, which is essential these days. Their content has always been solid, and I am super excited to have Lick the Plate included in the mix. I think it's a great fit all around."
Lick the Plate also airs on 93.9 The River in Detroit and is a weekly column in the Coast News in Encinitas, California.
