NEW YORK, Nov. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- EHE International and The Light of Life Foundation (LOL) for Thyroid Cancer (www.checkyourneck.com) are pleased to announce the unveiling of a window display at Rockefeller Center reminding Americans to "Check Your Neck" for thyroid cancer.  The window will prominently feature images from the LOL's public awareness campaign reminding passersby to ask their doctors to check their neck at their next physical.

"Awareness is the key to early diagnosis and treatment of thyroid cancer," said Joan Shey, the president and founder of LOL and a thyroid cancer survivor.  "It's appropriate that as we head into winter and begin to wrap our wool scarves around our necks that we think about checking that vital organ that keeps our bodies regulated."

The window display will feature imagery from The Light of Life Foundation's charter PSA campaign, featuring creative reminders to Check Your Neck such as post-it notes in lieu of a traditional necklace. The award-winning video PSA is also featured, and suggests to viewers "the fastest growing cancer among women is not what you think (i.e. breast cancer). . .it's Thyroid Cancer. Ask your doctor to check your neck. It could save your life."
