Eiger BioPharmaceuticals Announces Proposed Public Offering of Common Stock
PALO ALTO, Calif., Oct. 22, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Eiger BioPharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ: EIGR), focused on the development and commercialization of targeted therapies for rare diseases, today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of its common stock. Eiger intends to grant the underwriters a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 15% of the shares of common stock offered in the public offering on the same terms and conditions to cover over-allotments, if any. All of the shares of common stock to be sold in the offering will be offered by Eiger. The offering is subject to market conditions, and there can be no assurance as to whether or when the offering may be completed, or the actual size or terms of the offering.
BTIG, LLC is acting as the sole bookrunner.
Eiger plans to use the net proceeds from the offering to fund its planned Phase 3 clinical trial of lonafarnib for Hepatitis Delta Virus, regulatory advancement of lonafarnib related to the treatment of progeria, and for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
