Eighth Annual 2010 Road Runner Akron Marathon Race Results
AKRON, Ohio, Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Just under 13,000 participants took to the streets of Akron, Ohio, today to participate in the 8th Annual Road Runner Akron Marathon, Half Marathon, Novo Nordisk 5-Person Team Relay and the Kids Fun Run – marking yet another year of positive, continued growth for the marathon.

The Wheelchair Handcycle Division winner was Dan Stietz, 45, of Dover, Minnesota, with a record-breaking time of 1:33:14. The previous record was 1:49:44, which was held by Adam Rose, who was last year's champion and this year's second place finisher. There was no finisher in Racing Chair Division.
In addition, approximately 1,900 children and parents participated in the 1K Kids Fun Run for those ages 14 and under.
