ORLANDO, Fla. and VALLEY VILLAGE, Calif., Jan. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- eJamming, Inc. today announced it has added important upgrades to its eJamming AUDiiO software and online service, and entered into a co-branding and marketing partnership with industry leader Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.
eJamming AUDiiO, the company's downloadable software that enables musicians to play, create and record music live over the Internet in real time and in sync, connects musicians and vocalists around the world to collaborate in eJamming sessions. In the application's Jam Mode, up to four geographically-dispersed musicians can play or vocalize with a nearly imperceptible lag, playing together as comfortably as if they were in the same room, even if located on different continents.
Since coming out of beta in mid 2009, eJamming AUDiiO has surpassed major milestones including transitioning from a free beta to a paid service, exceeding subscription projections and validating the company's business model. "We have the most committed community in the world... incredible musicians returning day after day, suggesting features and improvements, ultimately making the software and service a fulfillment of their dreams as well as ours," said Gail Kantor, eJamming's CEO and co-founder.
Building on its suite of patented and patent-pending technologies, eJamming today begins rolling out upgrades and new features to eJamming AUDiiO. These include a new look and feel, plus improvements to its connectivity, live audio streaming, collaboration technologies, social network and overall website, providing more than any other music collaboration technology online today. From enabling musicians to search and find the right players to connect, message and chat live with anywhere in the world, to the new Virtual Patch Bay capability that allows musicians to connect digital audio workstations (DAWs) directly into eJamming sessions, eJamming has dramatically increased the flexibility of its software and service. The Virtual Patch Bay feature will be released in February.
The latest version of eJamming AUDiiO includes the most advanced Virtual Recording Studio functionality, with 24-bit, as well as 16-bit, recording capability. Connecting up to four musicians in improved "live" track-by-track recording sessions results in the most cohesive, emotive collaborations. Other services require musicians to overdub their parts offline, without live interaction.
Today's announcement with Fender, a co-marketing relationship whereby Fender and eJamming will promote each other's products and online technologies, will provide more value to both the Fender and eJamming AUDiiO communities and help stimulate growth of the eJamming service. "We're thrilled to enter 2010 with the best live online collaboration service for musicians and a new relationship with Fender, one of the legendary names and innovators in the music business," said Alan Jay Glueckman, eJamming Chairman and co-founder.
The relationship kicks off eJamming's marketing strategy to partner with leading music instrument manufacturers to extend eJamming's reach into the sizeable worldwide community of musicians, representing a $7 billion industry. eJamming will also be pursuing partnerships with technology and entertainment organizations, such as ISPs, computer manufacturers and record labels.
eJamming Inc. is pioneering live audio streaming technologies that bring musicians and music lovers together in new ways. Its flagship product -- eJamming AUDiiO -- is the first software as a service that enables all musicians and singers worldwide with a computer and broadband connection to find, network and play music with one another in real time and in sync over the Internet, facilitating collaboration, social networking and music education.
eJamming was named a DEMOgod at the DEMO 07 conference and has since received numerous accolades and awards including the OnHollywood 100, AlwaysOn 100 Finalist and technical achievement finalist in the South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Web Awards. The eJamming co-founders were named among the "24 Top Technology Innovators" in Fortune magazine and eJamming AUDiiO was featured last December as one of Forbes' "Top Ten 'BreakOut!' Business Ideas of 2009."
