Elaine Osgood On Women Presidents' Organization Top 50 Fastest-Growing Women-Led Businesses for Fourth Straight Year

MILFORD, Mass., May 13, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Atlas Travel is once again distinguished as one of the "50 Fastest-Growing Women-Led Companies" in North America, as company President and CEO Elaine Osgood has been listed on the prestigious ranking for the fourth straight year by the Women Presidents' Organization (WPO). Osgood placed 32nd on the annual list, which honors businesses that are led by women and generated a combined revenue of $3.2 billion in 2012.

In order to make the WPO listing, a company must be privately held, women-owned or led, operating in North America and have reached two benchmarks: at least $500,000 in revenue by 2007 and $2 million in revenue by 2012. Companies are then ranked according to the WPO's sales growth formula that combines percentage and absolute growth.

According to Osgood, Atlas Travel was in a transitional year in 2012, investing in key management personnel to drive the vision for growth and expansion that she outlined in 2011, as the company celebrated its 25th year in business. A seasoned COO and CFO joined the company, as well as additional business development and travel program management professionals who are introducing the Atlas Travel brand outside of New England, with new offices in New York, the Mid- and Lower- Atlantic region and the Midwest.
