Elcomsoft Cloud eXplorer: Forensic Acquisition of Google Accounts

ElcomSoft Co. Ltd. announces the release of Elcomsoft Cloud eXplorer (ECX), a digital forensic tool for acquiring data from Google accounts. Implementing over-the-air acquisition of information collected by the search giant, Elcomsoft Cloud eXplorer provides access to users' search history, contacts, comprehensive Chrome browsing history and page transitions, Google Keep notes, Hangouts messages, as well as pictures stored in the user's Google Photos account.

Over-the-air acquisition is available for services such as Google Calendar, Hangouts, Contacts, Photos, YouTube, Google Keep, Dashboard and Location Data. In addition, all search queries performed on all computers and mobile devices while the user was signed in to their Google account, as well as their Chrome browsing history, page transitions, saved logins and passwords are pulled from the cloud. Investigators must supply the correct Google ID and password. Access to the secondary authentication factor is required if two-step authentication is enabled for a given Google account.
