SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Elevate, Inc. (ELEV.OB), today announced significant changes to its digital phone product, including the introduction of voice enabled calling features and the implementation of network level, device-agnostic QoS integration.
Enhanced Features
Elevate is constantly seeking to evolve its suite of broadband-based services to the residence and small business. The latest innovation offered up by Elevate is the incorporation of hands free voice commands for its IP softphone and handset products.
"For the past 6 months we have been on the warpath, developing evolutionary technology that fits with our primary directive: to make technology simpler and more powerful for the average consumer," said Bryan Ferre, who earlier this quarter formally accepted the lead role in Elevate's newly formed Product Innovation Group. "Voice-enabled device control certainly lies within that scope. So much so, in fact, that we're looking to implement the technology across our complete service offering over the next 6 months."
Elevate will offer a core set of voice enabled features to each of its existing residential and small business voice plans at no extra charge, and will reserve more robust features at additional cost. Voice command functionality will be available on Elevate's softphone application for iOS and Android devices, as well as on its dedicated handset.
Quality of Service
Universal voice enabled functionality, along with virtually every other innovation Elevate will unveil over its wireless 4G network, is made possible, in part, by the significant strides to which Elevate has gone to ensure network-level Quality of Service. Elevate's engineering team, which includes resources from within its own network operations group and from within those of its partners, is working diligently to ensure network interoperability.
Elevate provides data, voice, video, mobile and security solutions in 22 major markets through a network of independent Certifiable Geniuses.
