CARLSBAD, Calif., April 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Servant Leadership Institute (SLI), a forward-thinking leadership resource center, will host the annual all-day leadership training event, Chick-Fil-A Leadercast, at Sheraton Resort & Spa in Carlsbad on May 6, 2011.
The Chick-Fil-A Leadercast is broadcast LIVE from Atlanta, Georgia, to hundreds of sites throughout the nation, including Carlsbad. The eleven speakers for the event include such noteworthy individuals as Robin Roberts, anchor of ABC's Emmy-winning show, "Good Morning America"; Dave Ramsey, personal money management expert, national radio personality, and best-selling author of The Total Money Makeover; and Muhtar Kent, chairman of the board and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company.
Dr. John C. Maxwell, best-selling author and speaker, launched the Chick-Fil-A Leadercast eleven years ago. What started out as a half day, classroom format event with Maxwell teaching has since become a full day, experiential conference featuring eleven authors, leadership experts and practitioners.
"Learning to equip and inspire others is a challenge faced by all of us on the journey to become good leaders," said Mary Jo Clark, Quality Control Manager at Datron World Communications. "The 2010 Chick-Fil-A Leadercast presented all who attended with the opportunity to advance their efforts through the inspiration and knowledge related in the words of leading mentors from the Servant Leadership arena."
This year's program will focus on how individuals and teams can use their voices to create positive change at work, at home, and in the community. The speakers will address subjects such as leading based on respect and relationship rather than rights and position, the difference between dynamic leadership and mediocre management, creating a culture of servanthood and innovation, how to provide exceptional customer service, and the keys to unlocking creativity in your workplace.
