Eligo Energy Named Exclusive Preferred Energy Provider For Village Of Stickney
STICKNEY, Ill., Oct. 15, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Eligo Energy announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Village of Stickney, Illinois to provide residential and small business customers with energy through the community's municipal aggregation program. The switch by Stickney residents to Eligo Energy reflects a growing trend of municipalities changing to third party energy suppliers, which allows the town and its residents to reduce energy costs and lock in energy prices, enabling long-term lower energy expenditures.
With the goal of providing customers with affordable energy, Eligo Energy's agreement will deliver electricity to the residents and small businesses of Stickney for 24 months, beginning in April 2016. Stickney's negotiated rate will be $.0620 per kWh and a $4.95 monthly fee, replacing the current variable Transmission Service Change and Purchased Electricity Adjustment factor. Over the term of this agreement, residents can expect to see a decrease in their energy bill with the switch to Eligo Energy.

Eligible customers do not need to take any action in order to participate in the aggregation program and get the negotiated electric supply price. Customers that decide not to participate in the aggregation program will need to opt-out 21 days after receiving notification from the Village of Stickney.
