Elmer Baldwin joins Cherry Tree Companies' team as Managing Director

MINNETONKA, Minn., July 14, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Cherry Tree Companies announced today the appointment of Elmer N. Baldwin as a Managing Director in the company's investment banking unit, Cherry Tree & Associates.

Baldwin will be based at the company's Carlson Center headquarters and will focus on developing Cherry Tree's established practice in information technology services and software solutions as well as expanding its existing coverage of the digital media sector.

Baldwin has a 30-year track record in information technologies, professional services, SaaS and digital media, including 20 years as President / CEO of five information technology companies. His career in the Twin Cities technology industry includes senior roles at Oracle, York & Associates and Egghead Software plus CEO roles at via World Network (Accenture), BORN, Analysts International and Internet Broadcasting.

As CEO, Elmer led many strategic M&A transactions. He has operated under virtually all ownership and governance structures, including publicly-traded companies, private-equity syndicates, and owner-operator. His own management consulting firm called Nuvolution was merged with Manchester Companies in 2013. Serving as President of Manchester Companies, he helped many companies navigate through their restructuring and renewal process.
