ANNAPOLIS JUNCTION, Md., Aug. 20, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- ELTA North America, headquartered in Maryland, continues to set the standard in Air and Ground-Based Integrated Sensor solutions. As part of its commitment to advancing counter-drone technologies, ELTA North America has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense for the Modular Anti-Drone System Kit – Generation II (MADS-K), an innovative system originally developed for U.S. Special Operations, USAF Force Protection, and Border Security.
MADS-K provides comprehensive drone threat mitigation through advanced detection, tracking, identification, and neutralization capabilities—leveraging both hard- and soft-kill measures to ensure operational effectiveness. This state-of-the-art system of systems will soon bolster security efforts for port and maritime operations in support of Servicemembers overseas.
