With its innovative disruptive technology Emefcy addresses both the municipal and industrial wastewater markets. The SABRE (Spiral Aerobic Bio-Reactor) solution treats municipal wastewater with virtually zero energy required for aeration while the EBR (Electrogenic Bio-Reactor) treats industrial wastewater and produces renewable electricity as a byproduct. The EBR acts as a battery using the organic matter in the wastewater as a source of energy.

In its third year, the Bloomberg New Energy Finance Pioneers program identifies companies from around the world that are changing the energy landscape forever.
