Emerging Threats Appoints Byron Rashed As Director, Global Marketing And Product Management

LAFAYETTE, Ind., Oct. 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Emerging Threats LLC, a world-leading provider of open source and commercial threat and malware intelligence, today named Byron Rashed as director, global marketing and product management.  Rashed will lead the worldwide marketing and product management efforts for Emerging Threats. Rashed will be based in California, and will report to Kenneth Gramley, CEO in the Lafayette, IN corporate office. 

Rashed will drive Emerging Threats' public relations tactics and strategies, corporate marketing, branding, marketing communications, product marketing, events, and lead generation efforts to assist the sales team to increase revenue for Emerging Threats' current and future products. In addition, he will work closely with the sales team to lead future partner marketing efforts. Rashed will also be responsible for product management, working closely with CTO Matt Jonkman and the development team to bring products to market.

Prior to joining Emerging Threats, Rashed was director of global marketing and public relations at Altior, FirstCarbon Solutions, and SSH Communications Security, where he was responsible for lead generation programs, product marketing, public relations and corporate marketing. As senior global marketing manager at VPNet Technologies, he led the worldwide marketing communications team and was responsible for ensuring industry-leading technology positioning in the VPN market. Rashed has authored several articles in leading industry publications, and is an accomplished public speaker. He holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York (NYU-Poly).
