He received a Daytime Emmy(R) Award for Outstanding Talk Show Host and later his show was nominated for Outstanding Talk Show two years in a row.

Mr. Williams sharpened his poker skills during a twelve-year career as an officer in the U.S. Navy after graduating from Annapolis. Williams was the overall chip leader for hours and the rest of the day he was near the top at the Main Event of the World Series of Poker in 2007.
