EmojiStone launches the first ever Emoji-based mobile vocabulary game
The iOS app allows users of all ages to grow their vocabulary in new languages while playing with emojis.

The iOS app was created by two co-workers who were exploring new applications for this universal communication standard. Mack Flavelle, one of its creators, explains the potential behind the communication standard and the process of learning:
"People tend to say that learning languages is frustrating. We created EmojiStone as a visual, fun, alternative to traditional resources. It's meant to be a supporting tool that changes the perception of the learning experience for one more playful, intuitive, and universal."
Currently supporting 5 languages—German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and English—the name of the app is a pun that refers to the archaeological find that served as the key to deciphering Egyptian hieroglyphs: the Rosetta Stone. EmojiStone is also built on top of the very powerful Speech and AVFoundation frameworks that allow iOS developers to recognize and reproduce different forms of communication inputs.
The relevance of emojis is constantly increasing. The language is used by more than 92% of people online; lures thousands of enthusiasts to its own conference; and even political and cultural statements are made through these universal symbols.
EmojiStone is available for free download at the App Store for ages 4 and up.
