Employees want free lunch; HUNGRY delivers with a unique office lunch and catering experience

ARLINGTON, Va., Jan. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- HUNGRY, a new, unique catering platform, is providing exclusive access to top chefs making incredible food. A new service for office catering and corporate events, HUNGRY's revolutionary approach to office lunches comes as companies and job seekers both are putting greater emphasis on workplace benefits and perks to help increase health and overall productivity.

Free lunches are becoming a standard workplace perk for some of the highest employee-rated companies nationwide, alleviating the stress of the daily lunch rush, saving employees' time, fostering communication and increasing productivity. The return on investment for employers is substantial.

HUNGRY provides employees direct access to delicious food made by top local chefs, each with their own menu, fresh ingredients, and cuisine. With more than 100 chefs within HUNGRY's network, they're able to deliver everything from the latest health trend, a globally inspired meal, or comfort food, delivering quickly, conveniently, and individually for each office mate to enjoy.

HUNGRY's recurring lunches allow employees to individually choose their lunch from the menus of top chefs. They can make choices based on health and dietary restrictions, including vegan, vegetarian, paleo, dairy-free, and gluten-free options, as well as type of cuisine.

To date, HUNGRY has received $2.7 million in seed funding. The investments, led by Karam Hinduja's Karma, a content-driven platform in the Timeless Capital portfolio, and Bob Hisaoka, who holds board-level positions with Sionic Mobile, Precise Target, and ICMED, has enabled HUNGRY to expand its service to now provide office lunch and corporate event catering.

For every two meals purchased through HUNGRY in 2017, one meal will be donated to those in-need, through a partnership with the Arlington Food Assistance Center (www.afac.org). The new effort is part of a commitment to feed and serve the local community.
