Encryptics Applauds White House's Cybersecurity Framework; Company's Input is Cited by Government During Development Phase

FRISCO, Texas, Feb. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Encryptics, a provider of patented data privacy and protection software for businesses and government, today announced its support for the White House's "Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity," developed under the National Institute of Standards and Technology's (NIST) guidance in cooperation with other agencies and the private sector.  Input provided by Encryptics during the Framework's development phase is specifically cited in the Treasury Department's "Report to the President on Cybersecurity Incentives."

Recognizing the threat of cyberterrorism to the country's increasingly interconnected critical infrastructure, the federal government saw a clear need for the recently announced Framework, which it describes as "a set of industry standards and best practices to help organizations manage cybersecurity risks."  The Framework is designed to enable "organizations – regardless of size, degree of cybersecurity risk, or cybersecurity sophistication – to apply the principles and best practices of risk management to improving the security and resilience of critical infrastructure."
