Engin Yakut Files Complaint Against Land Rover With Turkish Authorities

Lawyer Engin Yakut has submitted an official complaint petition to the Turkish Authorities claiming  that there is a mass factory defect in all Range Rover Vogue jeeps in Turkey. In the complaint petition, it is demanded that the vehicles should be recalled from the market by the Ministry of Defense, since the alleged manufacturing defect in 17 Range Rovers could also be in many jeeps all around the country .

Following the complaint filing, the case shall be transferred to the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology as well as the Ministry of Customs for "Initiation of the Investigation". If Yakut wins the case for recall, the right for the "Recall" of all Range Rover Vogue vehicles shall be obtained first in Turkey, then in the whole world through "International Recognition and Approval". The case was on the Twitter global top ten list with the tag "Land Rover Game Over".

Mr. Yakut's case for recall will be heard in the 1st Consumers Court of Istanbul and the case for recall opened by the injured consumers  will be heard before Bakırköy 2nd Consumers Court. The hearings shall be on December 07, 2015.

Land Rover's lawyer, Ms. İnci Akın, also participated in the case for recall filed before Istanbul 1st Consumers Court, which was heard on September 17th.

Yakut also filed a criminal complaint against the Distributor for Turkey, claiming "Fraud and Forgery of Official Documents".Within the scope of the Investigation opened by the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office of İstanbul, the directors of the distribution company were called to the Security Forces to give their statements.
