Enlightened CEO Antwanye Ford And CFO Andre Rogers Bring Home Two 2015 Technology Executive Awards From Minorities Enterprise Advocate

WASHINGTON, July 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Enlightened, Inc. ("Enlightened"), a leading provider of Information Technology (IT) consulting services, announced today that Mr. Antwanye Ford (CEO) and Andre Rogers (CFO) were honored by the Minorities Enterprise Advocate (MEA) for Leadership & Excellence during the 14th Annual Awards Luncheon Celebrating "50 Technology Business Executives" during the Federal Business Forum & Expo at the Doubletree by Hilton-Crystal City, located in Arlington, VA.

Antwanye Ford was the sole awardee of a special Technology Executive of the Year Award while Andre Rogers was selected as one of the few honorees to have been awarded Technology Business Executive Award.

The theme Luncheon "Applauding Excellence, Leadership and Success" gathered DC's top Federal Government CIO's; Contracting Officers; Program Managers; Government acquisition officials with responsibilities for meeting small business goals; Bankers; Prime Contractors; small/minority business owners; veteran and service-disabled owned business; 8(a) companies.

Guest Speaker, Major General Bruce T. Crawford, Commanding General, CECOM spoke passionately about how Small Minority Owned Businesses are a major contributor of mission critical services to the United States Army.  He also mentioned that with the Army being busier now than it ever was during the war on terror - it's imperative that we have agile industry partners who can help rapidly respond to the ever changing needs of the US military. 

Mr. Ford backed Major General Crawford's perspective in his keynote by emphasizing that "success as a business owner is measured in demonstrating the unwavering ability to make the war fighter successful and keep our forces mission ready."  He also stressed that it is the responsibility of industry to "not focus on technology as the core capability - but rather ensure that the message of the mission and needs of those who are in harm's way are met with exceeding expectations."  Mr. Ford also stressed that "strong leadership and core values must be exhibited within each company seeking to support the US military as a reflection of commitment to the men and women who serve everyday to protect our freedom."
