Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company Acquires Special Devices, Incorporated Defense and Aerospace Group

SIMSBURY, Conn., Jan. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Ensign Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBA&D) is pleased to announce it has entered into formal agreement with Special Devices, Incorporated (SDI) to purchase its Defense & Aerospace Group located in Moorpark, California.  

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company, headquartered in Simsbury, Connecticut is prime contractor to US and Foreign Military customers, and subcontractor to many US primes. EBA&D provides diversified energetic systems for Missiles, Space Launch Vehicles, the Soldier, and Ground Vehicles.  SDI Defense & Aerospace serves similar markets providing an array of critical components which are complimentary to EBA&D's core product lines.  Mr. Mike Pitcher, President & CEO of EBA&D commented "We are extremely pleased with this result and believe our common customers will be as well.  Our two companies' products have a long heritage of working together in a wide array of complex systems.  Now we have the opportunity to truly combine our work to the greater good of our customers."
