NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Entergy Corporation issued the following statement on today's decision by the Mississippi Public Service Commission to reject the proposed spinoff and merger of Entergy's transmission system to ITC Holdings, Inc.:
"We are disappointed that the Mississippi commission took action today and found that the transaction is not in the public interest. We will evaluate the Mississippi commission's 99-page order and work with ITC to determine next steps."
