Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ranks Highest in J.D. Power 2015 Rental Car Satisfaction Study

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Enterprise Rent-A-Car is the highest-ranked car rental brand in the annual J.D. Power 2015 North American Rental Car Satisfaction Study^SM. National Car Rental ranked second in the study, followed by Alamo Rent A Car.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the entire portfolio of Enterprise Holdings Inc. car rental brands – Enterprise, National and Alamo – have placed in the top three spots in the annual ranking. Enterprise Holdings is the largest car rental service provider in the world as measured by revenue, employees and fleet. Its three brands were the only ones to finish above the industry average, with their respective scores each increasing more than 20 points over last year.

The annual 2015 study surveyed leisure and business travelers who rented vehicles at North American airports. It marks the tenth time in the past twelve years that the Enterprise brand received the highest score. The brand excelled in all six factors: costs and fees; pick-up process; rental car; return process; reservation process; and shuttle bus/van.

Enterprise Holdings' extensive network of regional subsidiaries offers one of the freshest fleets in the U.S. car rental industry – more than a million late-model, well-maintained vehicles operating from coast to coast, with an average odometer reading of less than 16,500 miles and an age of about eight months. In addition, since 2010, Enterprise Holdings and its regional subsidiaries have invested more than $300 million in upgraded airport facilities, updated trade dress and signage, and new advertising – as well as a mobile app that enables customers to manage their rentals while they are on the road.

Earlier this year, the National and Enterprise brands not only ranked at the top of Travel + Leisure magazine's World's Best Awards, but they also were named the top two preferred car rental brands for business travel according to a recent Business Travel News survey. Additionally, the brands received Travel Weekly Magellan Awards last month for the National mobile app and the Exotic Car Collection by Enterprise.

Enterprise Holdings' portfolio of brands now accounts for nearly 36 percent of U.S. airport market share – compared to 28 percent in 2007.
