Entrust's Leading Software Authentication Platform Enhanced to Integrate Biometric Fingerprint Authentication

DALLAS, Feb. 25, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Entrust, Inc., a world leader in securing digital identities and information, today announced a new release of Entrust IdentityGuard 10.2 Feature Pack 1, which includes new biometric authentication capabilities. This update which will include 3M™ Cogent biometric fingerprint capture and verification technology will be available to new, and current Entrust IdentityGuard customers who subscribe to software maintenance support services.

With the addition of biometric fingerprint technology, Entrust IdentityGuard now offers organizations 16 unique, easy-to-use authenticators all within a single, cost-effective platform. 

Additional updates made to the Entrust IdentityGuard platform include: added support for mobile one-time-passcodes (OTP); enhancements to the Entrust Mobile Smart Credential – including the ability to log in to Entrust's self-service module and expiry notifications; additional support for Thales nShield^® Hardware Security Modules; and FIPS 201 support.
