CHICAGO, Nov. 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Envestnet | PMC, the Portfolio Management Consultants group of Envestnet, Inc. (NYSE: ENV), has partnered with CAIS to make available to independent advisors access to third-party hedge funds and private equity funds.

More than 43,000 advisors utilize Envestnet's technology and services to collectively manage $788 billion in assets and over 3.2 million client accounts, as of September 30, 2015. CAIS member firms, which include RIAs, broker-dealers, and family offices, have transacted approximately $3 billion across the CAIS platform in a broad array of alternative investment funds and capital markets offerings.

The staged rollout for the integration is expected to begin in December 2015. Envestnet clients will have single-sign-on access to a secure CAIS portal within the next-generation ENV 2 system. Advisors will be able to obtain product reports about the hedge funds and private equity funds on the CAIS platform, as well as white papers and other educational materials about the broader alternative investment universe. In addition, advisors will be able to conduct electronic fund transactions on the CAIS platform through a single-sign-on process from ENV 2.
