Environmental Expert, Martin J. McHugh, J.D. Joins RES as Client Solutions Manager

HOUSTON, May 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- RES, the nation's largest environmental solutions provider, announced today that Martin J. McHugh, former consultant and natural resource expert for the State of New Jersey, has joined the company as Client Solutions Manager. McHugh will lead RES ecological solutions and coastal restoration delivery for the company's expansion into New Jersey, New York, and Delaware.
Martin McHugh joins RES with over 30 years of professional experience at the local, state, and national levels in environmental protection and conservation. His extensive experience includes environmental litigation, contaminated site cleanups, legislation, natural resource damage assessment, habitat mitigation/restoration, endangered species programs and all aspects of fisheries and wildlife management.
For the last six years, McHugh was President and founder of McHugh Environmental Associates and has worked on a wide-range of natural resource projects, including administering the $100 million Hurricane Sandy Coastal Resiliency Grant Program for the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Prior to opening his firm, McHugh served as Director of the New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, implemented one the of the first state programs for natural resource damages and was a public trustee representative for the US Department of Commerce in NOAA's Great Lakes Chicago offices. McHugh was also a New Jersey Commissioner for the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission in Washington DC and Board President for the Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey. He has presented and participated in many conferences in the US, including the American Law Institute/America Bar Association's Environmental Law courses and the 2005 White House Conference on Cooperative Conservation.
