LENOIR CITY, Tenn., Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- EOD Technology, Inc. (EODT) has been recognized by the National Safety Council for its significant safety achievements with six occupational safety awards for 2009 operations.
EODT earned four Occupational Excellence Achievement Awards recognizing the company's incident rate was 50 percent less, with zero fatalities, than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics rating for a similar industry. EODT also received two Perfect Record Awards for completing twelve consecutive months of operations without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or fatality. The first Perfect Record Award was received for the company's Munitions Response business unit for domestic and international operations. The second award was received for EODT's United States operations, which includes munitions management and security work.
