EODT earned four Occupational Excellence Achievement Awards recognizing the company's incident rate was 50 percent less, with zero fatalities, than the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics rating for a similar industry. EODT also received two Perfect Record Awards for completing twelve consecutive months of operations without incurring an occupational injury or illness that resulted in days away from work or fatality. The first Perfect Record Award was received for the company's Munitions Response business unit for domestic and international operations. The second award was received for EODT's United States operations, which includes munitions management and security work.

"As a global firm operating in austere regions as diverse as Afghanistan and the Aleutian Islands, these awards speak highly of EODT's planning for and commitment to exceptional safety performance," said Matt Kaye, EODT President and CEO. "We perform an array of stabilization support services, from mine clearance to security work, and the safety of our personnel and local citizens is always a top priority to ensure project success."

The National Safety Council (www.nsc.org) recognizes outstanding safety performance to promote the prevention of workplace injuries and illnesses. The criteria for which awards are granted are based on standards stipulated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
