Epic Health Services Names David Hagey Chief Financial Officer

DALLAS, June 27, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Epic Health Services, Inc., a leading provider of pediatric and adult care services, announced today that David Hagey has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer. Hagey brings extensive experience and a proven record of accomplishment to his new role at Epic, having spent the past 15 years in senior executive positions with various healthcare companies.

Hagey comes to Epic Health Services from IntegraCare, a provider of home health, hospice, and personal care services in Texas, where he was responsible for all financial and operational aspects of the company in his roles as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2008 to 2011 and then as President in 2011. In the fall of 2012, Kindred Healthcare acquired IntegraCare, and Hagey continued through the acquisition serving as Division Vice President of Kindred at Home (a division of Kindred Healthcare), until joining Epic Health Services.

Prior to joining IntegraCare, he served as the Chief Financial Officer of Accuro Healthcare Solutions, a company that provided business intelligence and revenue cycle management software to healthcare providers, and as Vice President and Controller of U.S. Operations for United Surgical Partners, a provider of surgical centers and hospitals in the United States and the United Kingdom.

In his new role with Epic, Hagey will be responsible for the company's finance and accounting functions, working closely with operations throughout Texas, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and Delaware. He brings a wealth of financial and healthcare operational experience to Epic, including private equity, mergers and acquisitions, revenue cycles, investor relations, treasury management, and managed care. His dynamic leadership and breadth of experience will help position the company for continued growth and long-term scalability.

Hagey began his career with KPMG in 1983 where he served as a Senior Manager from 1988 until 1994. From 1994 until 2001, he served in various senior financial and accounting roles in the healthcare services sector. He is a certified public accountant and received his degree in Accounting from Texas Tech University.
