EPIC Players Announces Cast For "The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time"

Dominick Mastrodonato Leads a Neurodivergent and Disabled Company in EPIC Players' 10th Anniversary Season Mainstage Production, Running November 20 - December 6 at ART/NY Mezzanine Theatre

NEW YORK, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- EPIC Players, the nonprofit theater company built around Neurodivergent and Disabled artists, today announced the cast and creative team for its upcoming production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, running November 20 through December 6, 2026, at ART/NY Mezzanine Theatre, 502 West 53rd Street in New York City. A centerpiece of EPIC Players' 10th anniversary season, the production is co-directed by Aubrie Therrien and Meggan Dodd and features Dominick Mastrodonato making his NYC theatre debut as Christopher, leading a company of Neurodivergent and Disabled artists in a story EPIC's community has wanted to bring to the stage for years.

Based on the novel by Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time follows Christopher, a 15-year-old boy whose investigation into the mysterious death of a neighbor's dog leads him on an unexpected journey that challenges what he knows about his family, his community and himself.

For EPIC Players, the production offers an opportunity for Neurodivergent and Disabled artists to take ownership of a story centered on a neurodivergent young person. Staged with the audience seated on all four sides of Christopher's world, EPIC's production places its artists and their perspectives at the center of the storytelling.

The production is co-directed by Aubrie Therrien and Meggan Dodd, with Max Baudisch serving as Assistant Director. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time continues EPIC Players' decade-long commitment to creating professional opportunities for Neurodivergent and Disabled performers. Since its founding in 2016, EPIC has served more than 250 artists nationwide and offers more than 100 free classes annually, alongside professional mainstage productions, cabarets and career-development opportunities.

Past EPIC productions have included RENT, Spring Awakening and Into the Woods. The company has also performed alongside artists including Kristen Bell and Josh Gad, while EPIC Players member Conor Tague appeared on Broadway in How to Dance in Ohio.
