EQIS Appoints Melanie Hardin to Chief Strategy Officer

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., Jan. 19, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- EQIS Capital Management, Inc. today announced the appointment of Melanie Hardin to the role of Chief Strategy Officer. EQIS is a rapidly growing provider of integrated investment management solutions serving financial advisors through independent broker dealers and Registered Investment Advisors who help clients achieve their financial objectives. Hiring Ms. Hardin is the latest move in EQIS's plan to build and invest in its people and platform solutions. At EQIS, Ms. Hardin will focus her efforts on developing and implementing growth strategies and increasing EQIS's visibility in the financial services community.  Ms. Hardin is also an advisory Board Member for FTV Capital, a private equity firm specializing in financial technology.

ABOUT MELANIE HARDIN

Ms. Hardin has more than 25 years of business management experience in the financial services sector.  She was most recently Executive Vice President of Investment Platform Solutions and strategic growth for LPL Financial. LPL Financial is the largest independent broker dealer in the US, with more than 13,500 financial advisors, approximately 700 financial institutions and over $450B in assets. Hardin led the strategic expansion of LPL's comprehensive wealth management services, which include the fee-based platforms, due diligence, field marketing support, and strategic relationship management with investment companies to attract assets to LPL's custodial platform.

Prior to joining LPL Financial in 2010, she worked for ADP as Division Vice President for Strategy and Business Development with a special focus on new revenue, products, and opportunities. Before ADP, Ms. Hardin was a Director and Chief Executive Officer of the newly organized Charles Schwab, U.K., Limited. Ms. Hardin earned an MBA from the Yale School of Management and a BS in business administration from the University of San Francisco.
