Eric Raab, Bob Hinkle Join Executive Ranks at M5 Networks
New CTO and VP of Product Management To Drive Delivery Of Hosted Business VoIP 'Smart' Phone System
NEW YORK, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- M5 Networks, Inc., the market leader in smart business phone systems using VoIP technology, has hired two industry veterans to advance a growing list of technical initiatives. Eric Raab is M5's new Chief Technology Officer, and Bob Hinkle is Vice President of Product Management.
Eric Raab has built, deployed, and managed commercial communications systems for multiple organizations over the last 25 years. A noted physicist, Eric began his commercial career in the early-90s at AT&T Bell Labs. IDT Corporation recruited Eric to be their CTO shortly before the company went public. Most recently, Raab served as CTO at Toktumi, Inc., and Epana Networks. While at Toktumi, Raab released "Line2", a critically acclaimed first-to-market VoIP application for the iPhone (www.line2.com). He has authored numerous articles in technical journals and is the listed inventor on two telecommunications patents. Eric Raab graduated from Columbia University and earned his Ph.D. at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Bob Hinkle, M5's VP of Product Management, has held product management positions at several top telecommunications and networking companies. He was instrumental in new product introductions and corporate growth at Vonage, Avaya, Dialogic, Intel, and Verizon. Hinkle is a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and the Advanced Management Program at Wharton, University of Pennsylvania.
Most VoIP companies utilize pre-packaged software to support their offerings. However, M5 Networks has designed and deployed its own software and technology to support its agenda of advanced "smart" functionality and integration of voice with strategic business applications.
M5 CEO, Dan Hoffman, believes the time is right to expand the company's technical team. "We're fortunate to have Eric Raab and Bob Hinkle with us as we continue our product development and market expansion," he said. "These two additions will help our service pull even farther ahead of the pack."
