Eric Wilson Named 2025 Rising Star By TXCPA

DALLAS, July 11, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Eric Wilson, Director of Your Part-Time Controller, LLC's (YPTC's) Dallas-Fort Worth office, is recognized as a 2025 Rising Star by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). This award celebrates CPAs under 40 years of age who demonstrate exceptional leadership, professional excellence, and community impact.

For Eric, this honor is more than a milestone—it is a moment of reflection and inspiration. When asked what the distinction of 2025 Rising Star means to him, Eric said, "On one hand, it's been a great opportunity to pause and reflect on the first dozen years of my career. I've been very intentional in building a professional life that's aligned with who I am as a person, so receiving this award feels especially meaningful." He continues, "On the other hand, it's also pushed me to think more deeply about the next dozen (or more!) years and what my goals are from here. After all, it's called the Rising Star award, not the Risen Star!"

Eric's recognition is rooted in his commitment to the nonprofit sector. At YPTC, he thrives on the constant opportunities to use his many skills for the greater good. After joining YPTC in 2017, Eric quickly became the first Manager in YPTC's Houston office in 2019. Eric relocated to Dallas in 2022, becoming Director of the Dallas-Fort Worth office when it launched. Eric shares, "Between my colleagues at YPTC, clients, and other 'nonprofiteer' friends I've made along the way, I feel very privileged to be part of such a wide community dedicated to doing good."

The 2025 TXCPA Annual Meeting in Galveston was even more special for Eric due to a family connection: Eric's father, Patrick Wilson, was also honored at the luncheon for Meritorious Service, marking 50 years of TXCPA membership. Eric said, "My dad is the reason I became an accountant, so sharing that moment and celebrating each other was incredibly meaningful – it's a memory I'll treasure for many years to come."
