ESN Achieves CMMI Maturity Level 2 Certification

ARLINGTON, Va., June 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Engineering Services Network Inc. (ESN), a trusted leader in technology and engineering solutions, announced today that it has achieved CMMI® ML 2 for Development Version 1.2.

The Software Engineering Institute's (SEI) CMMI® ML 2 for Development Version 1.2 is an internationally recognized rating used throughout the industry as a prerequisite for the acquisition of military and government programs with significant systems and software engineering content.

ESN became involved with the CMMI program in May 2008 and achieved CMMI® ML 2 for Development Version 1.2 in January 2010. Certification is maintained through appraisals conducted by a registered outside auditing firm.

To earn the rating, companies must have established well-defined, repeatable and effective standards for project management, hardware and software engineering, systems integration and quality assurance, while maintaining a focus on continual process improvement.

Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) is a process improvement program that consists of best practices, which address development and maintenance activities that cover the product/service lifecycle from conception through delivery and maintenance. The program is continually updated to keep pace with new business practices and technology.
