Espirito Santo Investment Names Gregory Faranello Head of Global Markets Treasury and Trading Team - New York
NEW YORK, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Espirito Santo Investment (Banco Espirito Santo de Investimento, S.A.), a leading Portuguese investment bank, today announced that Gregory Faranello has been promoted to Head of Global Markets Treasury and Trading of their New York office. He previously served as the Head of U.S. Rates.
Espirito Santo Investment's Global Markets Treasury and Trading team has first-hand knowledge of local markets throughout Europe and Latin America. Their offerings enable clients to achieve cash management and risk mitigation objectives.
As the Head of Global Markets Treasury and Trading, Faranello will lead the branch's fixed income trading and sales* functions, foreign currencies, and credit trading activities.

Faranello brings more than 18 years of experience in U.S. currency and interest rate markets. He has held numerous leadership positions within the financial services sector, and was most recently the global head of USD interest rate derivative trading for RBC Capital Markets in New York. Faranello spent 11 years as a Managing Director at both Greenwich Capital Markets and WestLB. In these roles, he was responsible for building the global interest rate trading businesses and revenue generation from both customer and proprietary risk taking.

Faranello holds a B.B.A. in Finance from Hofstra University and an M.B.A. in International Business from Hofstra's Zarb School of Business. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
