
Estimated $25M in Contract Awards Sought by June 7th for Cyber, Energy, C4ISR and Other Disruptive Technologies for National and Homeland Security Applications
WASHINGTON, May 25 /PRNewswire/ --The non-profit National Security Initiative, owner/operator of the American Security Challenge is revising the registration deadline to June 7. After generating over $10M last year in teaming, sub-contract and investor term sheets, the 2010 Challenge is targeting greater than $25M for registrations with cybersecurity, C4ISR, physical security and energy applications. ASC has arranged for over 40 pilot contract awards that include but are not limited to various customer groups within the Department of Defense, Raytheon, ArcSight, Intuit, members of the Intelligence Community and others (additional customers pending). Registration is open to all businesses at www.AmericanSecurityChallenge.com .
These pilots provide registered Challengers the opportunity to have their technologies tested in a small controlled environment that mirrors the full-scale scenario. These customers are qualified customers who have purchase authority, ready contract vehicles and funding for technologies that pass their respective pilots. These pilots may expand a registered Challenger's footprint within these customers or establish a new beachhead.

- Management, analysis & visualization of large data sets collecting terabytes per hour
- Network detection and obfuscation techniques
- Offensive and defensive network security
- Protection of consumer credentials and sensitive account information on contaminated devices
- Security authentication for IP networks
- Wireless security including handheld devices, unmanned vehicles, satellite, towers, and other
- High volume data analysis and visualization tools
- In-band interference cancellation techniques
- Large scale data management, fusion and analysis of multi-lingual, multi-source, multi-format, structured and unstructured data
- Access controls
- Asset tracking
- Biometric technologies that accurately determine identity at a distance
- Batteries and power sources of long duration
- Building energy conservation technologies
- Scavenging energy technologies
- Stationary and mobile power supplies and storage
- Vehicle and vehicle fuel efficiency technologies
- Water purification
In addition, ASC offers a Mentor Protege Award only for SBA certified small businesses of up to $3M for up to three years.
