Esurance Teams with Buster and Kristen Posey to Fight Pediatric Cancer

During the month of August, each time a potential customer completes an auto insurance quote with Esurance by visiting www.esurance.com/QuotesForACure, the company will donate $10 to the Buster and Kristen Posey Fund to raise up to $150,000 to fight pediatric cancer.* To encourage people to quote, Esurance will host a social media sweepstakes with baseball prize giveaways, such as Buster Posey autographed baseballs and MLBShop.com gift cards.

"Pediatric cancer is a cause that's very near and dear to our hearts, and we're committed to making a difference to enrich the lives of children afflicted with this devastating disease and support their families," said Posey. "I've worked with Esurance for several years now and it's a great feeling when your partner not only believes in your personal mission, but creates a campaign to support it."

On Sept. 2, Esurance will sponsor the San Francisco Giants Pediatric Cancer Awareness Day at AT&T Park with a Home plate ceremony check donation of the funds raised from "Quotes for a Cure." Esurance will also be providing tickets to 150 pediatric cancer patients and their families.

"We had an opportunity to volunteer alongside Buster and Kristen at the Family House in San Francisco and were inspired by their passion for this cause and touched by the children and families we spoke with that day," said Nancy Abraham, vice president, integrated marketing communications at Esurance. "From that moment on, we were committed to developing a program that would help raise awareness for pediatric cancer and together we created 'Quotes for a Cure.'"

The Buster and Kristen Posey Fund was founded in 2016 with a mission to fight pediatric cancer by providing grants to research hospitals and charitable organizations that support children diagnosed with cancer and their families. To date, the fund has raised more than $788,000. Esurance has a long history of giving back, from its "Rally For a Cause" campaign for cancer awareness, to its Recycled Rides program, donating vehicles to families in need. "Quotes for a Cure" is a continuation of the company's philanthropic efforts, supporting organizations that help our communities.
