European Business Awards 2014/2015: With Your Help, Micromata can Become National Public Champion

Micromata GmbH, the software house with its headquarters in Kassel, is now in the running for the title "National Public Champion" in the European Business Awards.

Already awarded the title of "National Champion" back in December 2014, the company has reached the next round of the competition and will now compete in the public vote against other German National Champions to be crowned the country's National Public Champion.

To that end, Micromata has produced a video for the competition in which CEO Kai Reinhard talks personally about the company and highlights Micromata's successes, core competencies and philosophy. This video will be available from 6 January 2015 alongside those of the other competitors at http://www.businessawardseurope.com all ready for the  vote.

The first phase of the public voting begins on Tuesday, 6 January 2015 and ends on Tuesday, 24 February 2015. The participating companies therefore have seven weeks to unite as many votes as possible behind their video.

"We really hope that we can inspire a lot of people to vote for our video," says Kai Reinhard. "Not only because it will help us move on to the next stage in the competition, but also because we see ourselves as an ambassador for Kassel, our region, both in a German and in the general European context. With that in mind, we will naturally be proud of every single vote."

If Micromata is successful in its attempt to secure the title of "National Public Champion", the path will be open for it to compete in the second phase of the voting: selection of the "European Public Champion", the prize for which the National Public Champions from all participating countries will compete. This second phase commences on 3 March and runs until 16 April 2015.

Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards, explains the importance of the public vote: "The public vote is a key element in the competition because it gives the participants the opportunity to bring their company to the attention of a broad, European public. This year has again seen an especially large number of innovative and sustainable companies line up at the start who have earned broad international recognition."

In parallel with the public vote, the EBA jury*, which works on a voluntary basis, decides which of the competitors from a total of 33 European countries will receive the Ruban d'Honneur and can thus officially call themselves the winner of the European Business Awards 2014/2015. The recipients of the Ruban d'Honneur will then be announced by the chairman of the jury on 10 February.

All the other official prizewinners, both those of the public vote as well as the individual winners of all ten EBA categories, will be announced during a gala awards ceremony in May 2015.
